How often should you professionally clean and sanitize your Business?

4/19/2022 (Permalink)

According to the Center for Disease Control and Prevention, a best practice to prevent spread of  infections and diseases such as COVID-19, is to routinely clean and disinfect your business surfaces. Here are some differences on cleaning vs sanitizing your business:

  • Cleaning refers to the removal of dirt and germs. Cleaning your surfaces regularly will reduce the number of germs but does not kill them. Determine what your needs are for cleaning and how often the surface is touched. Prioritize cleaning surfaces at least once a day or more frequently in high touch traffic areas.
  • Disinfecting refers to using chemicals to kill germs on surfaces. This step is generally done after thoroughly cleaning off dirty surfaces first. This will help further with lowering the risk of spreading germs and infections.

Many factors determine how frequently an office or building should be cleaned. These include the number of employees or the amount of foot traffic you get. Have your business cleaned professionally as often as your budget and schedule allow.
