SERVPRO of San Marcos/New Braunfels Celebrates 37 Years in Business

Owner Tamara Wright is excited about the ribbon cutting festivities celebrating the new SERVPRO of San Marcos/New Braunfels franchise location

Darby and Tamara (Tammy) Wright Started SERVPRO San Marcos/New Braunfels in February of 1984. Starting out, it was just the two of them running the business out of a spare bedroom in Maxwell, TX.

In October 1985, Darby and Tammy were married and moved to New Braunfels, TX. They converted a few pre-existing buildings into workspaces where they would have the needed space to expand the business while still running it from their home.

Over the next 12 years, Darby and Tammy put most of their time and energy into growing the company and raising their two children, Travis and Kayleigh. Finally, in 1997 SERVPRO outgrew the converted buildings, and the company was moved to San Marcos, where they purchased a 10,000SF warehouse and office.

After over a decade of commitment to establishing their company, Darby and Tammy were able to pursue their dreams of traveling the world and embracing the beauty of the outdoors in remote areas of Alaska, Africa, Australia, and even right here in Texas.

On February 14th, and in the middle of what is historically known as Winter Storm Uri, Darby and Tammy officially celebrated 37 years in business.
